The Need: A new Director was joining the executive and was in need of on-boarding. While a high performer, some key leadership competencies lacked a level of development. The shift from peer to an authority figure had been a difficult one.
The coaching engagement began with a 360 assessment to help identify the key leadership skills needed as well as the behaviours that were becoming obstacles to performance. With a new level of awareness the coaching helped to move the leader forward and create a growth strategy to successfully on-board to the new role.
The Results: The Director was able to increase her own self-awareness and improve on her communication with her team and her peers. The Director has received glowing feedback from her superior and has begun to delegate, develop her team, and manage relationships in keeping with her level of leadership.
